Recent studies have shown that literacy in Kanji among other groups in society was somewhat higher than previously understood.
Names
A samurai was usually named by combining one kanji from his father or grandfather and one new kanji.
Samurai normally used only a small part of their total name.
Marriage
The marriage of samurai was done by having a marriage arranged by someone with the same or higher rank than those being married.
Women
It is the women’s job to keep the household in order.
The women were left to manage the household while their husbands were off in battle.
Armor
As far back as the seventh century Japanese warriors wore a form of lamellar armour, this armour eventually evolved into the armour worn by the samurai.

Having a Job as a Barista
Ever since I was little I have always had the urge to work. I never liked doing chores around the house but I love babysitting, hauling wood, yard work, or anything that pays really. To me it’s like a motivation when people work for something that they want. I am kind of like a perfectionist when it comes to doing a job correctly. I have had a couple jobs in my life so far. I would like a job as a barista because I like to interact with people.
A barista is a person, usually a coffeehouse employee, who prepares and serves espresso-based coffee drinks. A barista probably works in a small shack near the side of the highway, either on peoples’ way out of a place or coming into a place. Or a barista could work in a big coffee shop, somewhere in town normally. Baristas operate four different types of commercial espresso machines: manual, semi automatic, automatic, or super automatic. The role of a barista is to have enough knowledge of the entire process of coffee to effectively prepare a desired cup of coffee.
I was inspired to be a barista by Taylor Weisz. Anytime I would go to the Java I would see how much fun she was having, serving drinks and food to people. She was always happy and having fun with what she was doing. She gave me a lot of criticism about how to make things correctly. Ever since I saw her having fun as a barista, I wanted that job.
